Biography:

Gracelyn is a 19 year old singer/songwriter and former radio host from New England. She plays guitar, ukelele, piano and drums. She has been writing and performing her own songs since early 2013. Gracelyn was born with slight hearing loss in one ear. When she was 12, she suddenly lost 40% of her hearing in both ears and required hearing aids. She has not allowed her health to hinder her music and has pushed on and worked harder to achieve her dreams. Gracelyn has performed in prestigious venues such as House of Blues, Boston, MA, The Hard Rock Cafe, Foxwoods, CT and World Cafe LIVE, Philadelphia, PA. She has been the opening act for several national acts including, Lee DeWyze and Howie Day and has performed beside American Idol top ten act Erika Van Pelt on a regular basis.Besides her music, Gracelyn owns a bracelet company supporting and promoting Lyme Disease Awareness.

Gracelyn attended a Real World Learning/Big Picture high school where she was encouraged to take college classes and participate in internships. As a high schooler, Gracelyn has taken college classes at Berklee School of Music and interned twice a week in the music industry. She was chosen as one of 6 musicians, in over 3000 applications to participate in the House of Blues, Music Forward Foundations' BDTH 2015. Gracelyn sat on the Alumni Board of the House of Blues, Music Forward Foundation's BDTH 2016, where she mentored up and coming musicians. She belongs to RISING, a young singer/songwriter group, and RISA, The Rhode Island Songwriting Association. She hosted a radio show called Grace In Your Face, on www.countryblastradio.com. Gracelyn is the Teen Co-Chair of the RI Epilepsy Annual Walk 2016 and performed at the walk as well.

In 2016, Gracelyn took home the award for Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for her single, "Like the Stars" at the biggest indie music award show, the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TN. She attends this award show every year and she just got back from being nominated in multiple categories for her artistry at the 2017 awards.

Gracelyn has hopes of releasing new music soon and traveling to show the country what she can do. Whether it takes her to Philly, Los Angeles, Florida, etc., she will give it her all and never give up. "Let your weaknesses be your strengths", she always says.
